It’s not a secret. We all know what we need to do if we want to improve our health. The answers to this question are very simple and easy to grasp. However, many people choose to willfully turn a blind eye to the answers. And why is this the case? Well, our theory is that it’s because they can be very hard for these people to implement in their lives – or at least seem like it.
That being said, the answer to the question of what you need to do in order to be healthy is to have a good diet and to exercise. Simple, right? Well, you’d be surprised at how many people don’t get these things. They want easy things to do so that they can become healthy. And what do they do? They follow fad diets and purchase “weight loss belts”. But are these things effective at helping you lose weight and get to the best shape of your life? The answer to this question is an emphatic “NO.”
So, you will want to go and train something. Do some exercise. You don’t need to make this more complicated than it already is. If you’re at the very bottom in terms of having low fitness and cardiovascular endurance – then you can take the lowest common denominator of exercise – walking. That’s right, you can only walk at a brisk pace (or not even at a brisk pace) for 20 minutes a day and still get a nice workout. Of course, if you want to have better results, then you will need to do more than this. But we’re talking about people that are in a very bad shape.
Once you get to improve the state of your body by walking, you can start steadily introducing new exercises. We suggest push-ups, bodyweight squats, pull-ups, etc. These are basic bodyweight exercises that you can do no matter who you are. Of course, it may take you some time before you will be able to do your first push-up. The same can definitely be said about your first pull-up, too. But once you do the first of these, then you will be able to easily increase your progress given enough time and effort.
