- What type of Visa You Would Need to Visit the UAE?

- What You Should Know About Climate in the UAE?
- The UAE’s climate remains sunny all-year round except for the months between January and March when it rains in most parts of the country. Climate is subtropical whereas during winter season, temperature drops down to maximum 15-degree Celsius. During peak summer, it can get really hot as the temperature can rise to 42-degree Celsius or higher.

- If you or anyone who has overstayed in the UAE post-expiry of their residence visa, there’s a penalty of AED100 per day charge, plus AED100 service charges as an addition at the border crossing.
- For how long you, as a resident, can stay out of the UAE, without annulment of the official UAE residency?
- Resident Permit becomes void should the resident stay out of the UAE for more than six months.
- You live abroad and planning to visit the UAE, which type of visa should you apply for?
- First line of heir or blood relations such as (father, mother, spouse, son, daughter, father-and/or-mother of spouse) are liable to apply for entry permit “Long-term single entry visa – tourist” against which they’re allowed non-renewable 90-days single visit whereas “Short-term single entry visa – tourist” can apply through the sponsor parties, smartphone applications, website and even at the dedicated services centres on clearing mandatory medical test for visa.

- Are children required to have chest X-Rays or Blood Tests?
- Children under the age of 15-years old aren’t usually required to have chest X-Rays and blood tests.
- What will happen if the applicant has learning or intellectual disability?
- Applicants having a certain degree of intellectual or learning disability should present a medical report that highlights the condition and/or any supporting evidence such as special certificate or supervision requirements (if any).
- What to expect during the medical examination?
- Applicant is required to present his/her passport or any other photo identification document and appointment letter to the doctor. The exam would include a detailed medical review, physical examination, chest X-Ray and blood test for communicable and/or inherited diseases. The physical examination will include check-up of the eyes, ears, nose, throat, lungs, abdomen, lymph nodes and skin.
- What if the applicant’s positive for tuberculosis skin test?
- Applicants who’ve previously tested positive for tuberculosis skin test should provide a medical certificate from the attending doctor. The certificate should bear information such as positivity of the test, duration of the treatment and post-treatment test which should be negative. That said, the certificate should also mention the medications and details of the treatment, the applicant went through.
