    An epic way to start your day is with a delicious smoothie packed full of natural, and yummy, vitamins and minerals. Not only limited to breakfast time, smoothies can be enjoyed at any time of the day and they also make for a perfect snack in between meals, especially if you’re on-the-go. 

     

    If trying to stick to a healthy regime this 2021, swapping after-dinner treats and snacks with a dessert smoothie alternative is also a fantastic option – you may even forget it’s made of fruit, veggies and all things goodness! 

     

    We’ve seen the introduction of extra-healthy ingredients being thrown into recipes, such as chia seeds or Ashwaganda, all used for their natural medicinal properties and health benefits. 

     

    But what if I told you we’ve found a smoothie that one-ups even some of the super smoothies out there today, adding extra benefits in one gulp such as omegas 3 and 6, and Vitamins A and B2?! 

     

    Ever considered a Hemp Smoothie?  

     

    Hemp has been around since the test of time where it has always been utilised as a health supplement. In fact, you can buy hemp protein powder from most health stores. 

     

    Check out these three delicious Hemp Smoothie Recipes for breakfast, lunch or dinner time! 

     

    Breakfast Booster Hemp Smoothie 

     

    Ingredients: 

    • 1 scoop of Hemp Protein powder 
    • 3/4 cup frozen blueberries 
    • 1 banana 
    • 1/2 cup rolled oats 
    • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed meal
    • ¼ tsp turmeric powder 
    • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder 
    • ½ cup plain Greek yoghurt 
    • ½ cup of Almond Milk (Substitute for any milk alternative of choice, or water) 
    • ½ tsp raw honey
    • Optional: ½ tsp Ashwaganda powder 

    Add all the ingredients to your blender, blend for about 2 minutes and enjoy! 

     

    2pm Energy Lifter Hemp Smoothie 

     

    Ingredients: 

    • 1 scoop of Hemp Protein powder 
    • ¼ cup kale/baby spinach 
    • 1 Kiwi, peeled and chopped 
    • 1 cup of frozen cherries 
    • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds 
    • ½ cup Coconut water 
    • ½ cup almond milk 

    Add all the ingredients to your blender, blend for about a minute and enjoy! 

     

    P.s. If you can’t find frozen cherries, fresh will work too, just don’t forget to de-pit them prior! If you can’t get your hand on cherries, frozen raspberries or blueberries make for a fantastic alternative. 

     

     

    Pumpkin Pecan Pie Dessert Hemp Smoothie 

     

    Ingredients: 

    • 1 scoop of Hemp Protein powder 
    • 3 Medjool dates (pitted) 
    • 1 cup of pumpkin puree 
    • 1 banana 
    • ½ cup of pecans (soaked and rinsed) 
    • ¼ tsp of ground cinnamon 
    • ¼ tsp of fresh nutmeg 
    • ¼ tsp of all-spice powder 
    • ¼ tsp of ginger powder
    • 1 tbsp almond butter 
    • 2 tbsp (30ml) maple syrup 
    • 1 ½ cups almond milk 
    • 1 cup of ice 

     

    Add all the ingredients to your blender, blend for about 2 minutes and enjoy!
