Improve Your Eyesight With this Organic Remedies

There are plenty of ways to maintain good eyesight. Whether it’s eating the right food or doing proper exercises, you have a lot of choices to pick from. These remedies can help improve your eyesight and prevent possible eye nerve damage. But of course always consider if you have allergic reactions to any of them — then they will be off the menu.

Foods that you must definitely try

When it comes to food, there are a lot of herbs that can do wonders for your eyesight. These are some of the herbs that you must try at least once (as always, make sure that they are not on your allergy list):

    • Fennel

You can make tea of fennel and wash your eyes with it. The good vitamins that it contains, such as vitamin A and C, are great oxidants that can help you fight macular degeneration.

    • Passionflower

The passionflower’s extract can do wonders and can be used as a nerve relaxer. It can relax the eyes’ blood vessels and on top of that it has additional benefits to not just the eyes but the heart and other organs.

    • Jaborandi

Jaborandi is perfect for people who are suffering from glaucoma because it is highly effective in the early stages of the disease. Oil of jaborandi can easily provide comfort to the eyes affected by glaucoma.

    • Bilberry

Bilberry is another plant that can help the night vision. It also has plenty of purposes and can be a great helper in cases of blood circulation problems, diarrhea and many others.

    • Aspalathus

This herb is fantastic for the immune system and can also help improve the eyesight. Main reason why is because of all the powerful vitamins and minerals that it contains such as magnesium and calcium among many others.

    • Grapeseed Extract

Strengthening the retina, bringing blood circulation and improving the eyesight are just some of the many features that this herb can guarantee.

    • Gingko Biloba

Just like most of the other herbs, the gingko biloba has a lot of benefits to the immune system and can help people who are suffering from various diseases. When it comes to eyesight, the herb can make sure that there is enough blood circulation in the back of the eyes.

    • Bilwa

It is a great helper in cases of sty or conjunctivitis, some of the painful eye diseases. Among some of the ingredients that the bilwa has are protein and pectin as well as phosphorus and calcium, so it’s a great herb that can do wonders for the eyes.

    • Golden Seal

The golden seal can be used to fight irritation or inflammation of the eyes. It works mainly because of the berberine. This chemical can kill not only bacteria but fungi as well.

    Exercises that can do wonders

Besides the above-mentioned herbs and other foods that contain vitamins, iron, calcium, potassium and other helpful supplements, there are also a lot of exercises that can be done. You don’t need to exert much effort doing these exercises. Most of them can be done in 10 second exercises. A simple blinking, for example, can help your blood vessels a lot.

Blinking at least 10 to 15 times very quickly then relaxing your eyes for 20 seconds can help the blood circulation. Do this step up to  4 to 5 times a day and you are guaranteed to help your eyes. Other similar exercises that you can try at home are palming, zooming, shifting and doing random figures such as the figure eight. Zooming can improve your eyesight because the exercise can help you focus a lot better. Doing the figure eight or other figures can really do wonders to the blood circulation. By doing the palming, you can easily relax the muscles of the eyes. All you have to do is rub the palms of your hands and then place them gently over your eyelids. Shifting is all about moving the eyelids from one direction to another. That can help the eye muscles remain active and healthy. These are just some of the many options that you have. You don’t need to spend a lot of money for something as simple as an exercise to improve your eyesight.
